Seed cotton yields are available for the shor season irrigated and non-irrigated OVTs at the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center (WREC) in Headland.

November 19 – Quality data (micronaire, length, strength, uniformity) is available for both short season OVTs at the Tennessee Valley Research and Extension Center (TVREC) and the full season irrigated OVT at the Prattville Agricultural Research Unit (PARU).

Lint yields are available for both short season OVTs at the PARU.

Seed cotton yields are available for the short season irrigated OVT at the EV Smith Research Center (EVSRC).

November 16 – Lint yields are available for the full season irrigated and non-irrigated OVTs at the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center (WREC) in Headland.

  • Full season non-irrigated OVT at the Tennessee Valley Research and Extension Center (TVREC) in Belle Mina.
  • Full season non-irrigated OVT at the Prattville Agricultural Research Unit (PARU) in Prattville.
  • Full season irrigated OVT at the PARU.

November 1 – Seed cotton yields are available for the full season cotton OVTs at the Prattville Agricultural Unit (PARU) in Prattville.

Subsamples from these trials are being processed to determine percent lint.  Lint yield will be posted once samples are processed and data is available.

October 25 – Lint yield data is available for the full season non-irrigated OVT at the Tennessee Valley Research and Extension Center (TVREC) in Belle Mina.

Seed per pound at planting is also available.

September 16 – As we prepare for harvest, please familiarize yourself with the new data delivery system.  There are several demonstration videos that walk through the features of the AU variety selection platform and can be used for reference.

Cotton Extension Pathologist, Amanda Scherer, has been taking disease ratings across the state on some of the cotton variety trials.  Target spot ratings for the full season irrigated trials at the Prattville Agricultural Research Unit (PARU) and the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center (WREC) are now available on the variety selection platform.
