Selected corn hybrids are evaluated annually by the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station as a service to producers and industry. These tests are conducted throughout the state in an attempt to determine effects of different climatic factors and soil types on yield. There are several types of tests in the program. The Regular Corn Hybrid Test is conducted at two locations in the northern region, one location in the central region and three locations in the southern region. In addition, a regular corn hybrid test is irrigated at Belle Mina. A notill test is conducted at Shorter, AL. Locations and cultural practices for all tests are given in Table 1.
