How to participate:
1. Pick up a sample container from the Dallas County Extension Office by Nov. 18 (429 Lauderdale St., Selma, AL 36701) | Hours: Mon–Fri 8 AM–4PM

2. Collect your water sample on the morning of the workshop
◦ Follow instructions in your registration packet
◦ Label with date and time of collection
◦ Bring your sample container and water questionnaire to the workshop
Optional Extended Testing
Note: This is an educational screening, not done through a certified lab.
How to participate:
1. Use a clean plastic bottle (16.9–20 oz) with a screw-on lid (no glass) to collect a sample
at home.
2. Complete the AU Soil, Forage and Water Testing Lab Paperwork and indicate which test you’d like run. Tests available:
◦ W401 ($15): Metals only (e.g., arsenic, iron, zinc)
◦ W301 ($25): Metals + pH, nitrate, conductivity, TDS
◦ W201 ($30): W301 + sulfate (recommended for wells)
3. Bring your sample, payment, and AU Soil, Forage and Water Testing lab form to the workshop.
