2024 Corn OVT Entry Forms

December 14 – Entry forms for the 2024 Auburn University Official Corn Variety Trials (OVTs) are now available. 

Entry forms are due by February 2nd.  Please send seed as soon as possible, preferably no later than February 19th. 

Entries can be submitted by region (North, Central, South).  The North region has three trials.  The Central and South regions have 4 trials each.

For 2024, the South region has a new location, the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland.  Statewide, there are a total of 11 OVTs available.

Seed required:  6 lb per region tested

• North Region ($300):

  • Tennessee Valley Research and Extension Center (TVREC) in Bell Mina
    • Irrigated and Non-Irrigated
  • Sand Mountain Research and Extension Center (SMREC) in Crossville
    • Non-Irrigated

• Central Region ($400):

  • Prattville Agricultural Research Unit (PARU) in Prattville
    • Irrigated and Non-Irrigated
  • EV Smith Research and Extension Center (EVSRC) in Shorter
    • Non-Irrigated
  • Black Belt Research and Extension Center (BBREC) in Marion Junction
    • Non-Irrigated

• South Region ($400):

  • Gulf Coast Research and Extension Center (GCREC) in Fairhope
    • Irrigated and Non-Irrigated
  • Brewton Agricultural Research Unit (BARU) in Brewton
    • Non-Irrigated
  • Wiregrass Research and Extension Center (WREC) in Headland
    • Irrigated – New location for 2024!
