Yield results are available for the non-irrigated corn OVT conducted at the Sand Mountain Research and Extension Center (SMREC) in Crossville. Excessive corn earworm pressure was noted. Yields were low, and data was variable. Yields have been excluded from multi-location and multi-year tables.
September 22
Yield results are available for the irrigated and non-irrigated OVTs conducted at the Tennessee Valley Research and Extension Center (TVREC) in Belle Mina.
Excessive variation was noted in the TVREC irrigated corn trial. Therefore, the results are included in a standalone location table and excluded from summary tables.
September 14 – Results are available for the non-irrigated corn OVT conducted at the EV Smith Research Center in Shorter.
September 8 – Results are available for the OVT conducted at the Black Belt Research and Extension Center in Marion Junction. Although the season’s total rainfall was similar to other locations, very little rain was received from July until harvest, which undoubtedly caused a reduction in yield.
September 1 – Results are available for the three OVT corn trials conducted at the Brewton (BARU) & Prattville (PARU) Agricultural Research Units.
August 11 – Results are available for the irrigated and non-irrigated corn OVTs at the Gulf Coast Research and Extension Center in Fairhope.
