OAT, WHEAT, BARLEY, AND RYE varieties were tested during the 1967-68 season by the Auburn University Agricultural Experiment Station at 14 locations in the State. Since small grains are grown for both forage and grain production, two series of plots are used in the testing program. One series is managed to determine grain production only. The other series is managed to determine fall and early winter forage
yield and the effect of its removal on subsequent grain production of each variety.
