The AU Water Resources Center, along with the Donald E. Davis Arboretum, ACES Water Resources, the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, the AU Museum of Natural History and Risk Management and Safety teamed with Birmingham Water Works up to host 100 Birmingham area high school juniors and seniors in this year’s Young Water Ambassadors event at the Davis Arboretum.
The students rotated through several stations for activities involving the Enviroscape watershed model, Stormwater Pictionary, a Stormwater Tour, interacting with live animals, and viewing the specimens with the Museum of Natural History.
Young Water Ambassadors aims to expose high school students to careers related to water resources and aquatic sciences during an intensive six-week program.
