This workshop is for homeowners that have private wells that would like to get their water tested for microbial contaminants, as well as a wide array of other contaminants (iron, nitrate, magnesium, etc.)
Available to Barbour, Dale, Henry, Houston, and Russell County residents of Alabama.
Registration: $100 for a water test + $12/meal.
Meal includes: Grilled chicken breast plate with 2 sides – $12 per person (mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables)
To Register: Interested clients must visit their respective County Extension office. Provide your name, number, and email to the County office, and collect your microbial sample container and instructions.
Water tests included: total coliform, E. coli, pH, hardness, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, aluminum, boron, chromium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, silica, sodium, zinc, chloride, fluoride, nitrate-nitrogen, sulfate, phosphate, electrical conductivity, alkalinity, carbon dioxide.
Payment must be brought to the event on March 15. Please bring a check book to the event.
