Zoe Nye is a junior at Ardmore High School in Limestone County. Through her participation with the Naturalist Studies Program at AHS, she became one of the first students certified as a 4-H AWW Water Monitor. In the three years that have followed, she has conducted regular monitoring under the supervision of her teacher, Staff Weems de Graffenried and 4-H Agent Chloe Wilson.
This past year, Zoe was selected as a 4-H Ambassador for Alabama. The 4-H Ambassador Program is a competitive program for high school level 4-H members throughout the state that provides youth with the opportunity to,
– Develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills;
– Gain experience in planning, implementing and participating in statewide educational, leadership, and service-related programs; and
– Better understand the 4-H Youth Development Program.
4-H Ambassadors represent 4-H and Alabama at local, county, regional, and statewide programs and activities. They also participate in and lead community service initiatives. This is a highly esteemed position, and we are very proud of Zoe for her achievement.
