The Exploring Pathogen Pollution in Our Waters project funded through NOAA can help you do just that.

Project Goal: To provide classroom educators with the training, materials, and support needed to engage students (ages 9-18) with Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences focused on understanding, detecting, and mitigating pathogen pollution in local waters.  

Participation Includes:  

  1. Completing a 1.5 day, paid Professional Development Workshop at the 4-H Center in Columbiana, AL on June 6-7, 2023 
  1. Bacteriological monitoring with students 
  1. Completing a water stewardship outreach activity with students 

Benefits Educators will Receive: 

  • Food, lodging, and Professional Development Hours for June Workshop 
  • Water Monitoring Materials 
  • Support from 4-H AWW Staff 
  • Stipend upon Project Completion
