AWW Water Data Portal
Alabama Water Watch has developed a suite of online tools for storing, retrieving, examining and exploring AWW water data. Citizen volunteer monitors, and the public, can access AWW Water Chemistry monitoring data, Bacteriological monitoring data, and Stream Biomonitoring data, displayed as line graphs and bar graphs. The search can be done through either a map or table interface. These pages provide access to citizen generated water quality data collected at approximately 3,000 sites across all the state of Alabama. At any given site, one or more types of data may be available. The AWW Water Data portal is our way of setting our data free to be used by local communities to help address, in a better informed way, local water issues. In addition it is also used by formal and informal educators to promote environmental education and watershed stewardship in school setting as well as by research scientists and academia.
