If you are seeking recertification, please contact the Alabama Water Watch Office.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Training Description:\u202f<\/strong>Become a certified Volunteer Monitor through this\u00a0<strong>hybrid (online and in-person)\u00a0<\/strong>training opportunity! Available certifications include AWW Water Chemistry Monitoring and Bacteriological Monitoring . You must complete each of the steps outlined below to receive your monitoring certification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Follow these steps to get started:<\/strong><br \/><b>1.\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0Register for training through this form by August 2nd.<br \/><b>2.\u00a0<\/b> Select the monitoring type(s) for which you would like certification through this form.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>On August 2nd<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"font-size: medium\">Participate in the Kick-Off Zoom from 12-1 pm<\/b><span style=\"font-size: medium\">.\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"font-size: medium\">This is not required for certification but will help you navigate the training process and meet AWW Staff.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Use the link and instructions you receive via email following the Kick-Off Zoom to\u00a0<b>enroll in the Online Courses\u00a0<\/b>required for the certification type(s) you requested.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><strong><u>By Midnight on August 16th<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><b>Complete the self-paced, online coursework<\/b>\u00a0for the monitoring type(s) of interest. <\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Introduction to AL Water Watch \u2013\u00a0This course is required for all monitoring types and must be completed to unlock all other AWW Online Courses.\u00a0(1 hour)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Bacteriological Monitoring Course (90 minutes)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Water Chemistry Monitoring Course (2 hours)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>On August 19th<\/u><\/strong><br \/><b>Attend the in-person Field Day in Millbrook \u2013 Trustmark Bank Community Room<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>where you will demonstrate your ability to conduct monitoring tests under the observation of an AWW Trainer.
