Available certifications include AWW Water Chemistry Monitoring and Bacteriological Monitoring. You must complete each of the steps outlined below to receive your monitoring certification.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Volunteer Trainer for this workshop is Jackie McGonigal. For more information, please email awwprog@auburn.edu.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Follow these steps to get started:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">1.\u00a0\u00a0Register for training through this form by July 22, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">2.\u00a0\u00a0Select the monitoring type(s) for which you would like certification through this form.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><u><strong>On July 22nd 2025<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Participate in the Kick-Off Zoom from 12-1 pm.<\/strong>\u00a0<em>This is not required for certification but will help you navigate the training process and meet AWW Staff.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Use the link and instructions you receive via email following the Kick-Off Zoom to\u00a0enroll in the Online Courses\u00a0required for the certification type(s) you requested.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><u><strong>By Midnight on August 6th<\/strong><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Complete the self-paced, online coursework<\/strong>\u00a0for the monitoring type(s) of interest.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Introduction to AL Water Watch \u2013\u00a0This course is required for all monitoring types and must be completed to unlock all other AWW Online Courses.\u00a0(1 hour)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Bacteriological Monitoring Course (90 minutes)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Water Chemistry Monitoring Course (2 hours)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><u><strong>On August 8th<\/strong><\/u><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Attend the in-person Field Day in City of Orange Beach Wind and Water Learning Center<\/strong>\u00a0where you will demonstrate your ability to conduct monitoring tests under the observation of an AWW Trainer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Location:<br \/>\n<\/strong>City of Orange Beach Wind &amp;Water Learning Center<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">26233 Canal Rd<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">Orange Beach, AL 36561<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Field Day Schedule:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">9 am &#8211; Water Chemistry Monitoring Session<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">12 pm &#8211; Lunch Break<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">1 pm &#8211; Bacteriological Monitoring Session<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000\">3 pm &#8211; End of Training<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">You will receive additional details for each of these steps closer to the workshop date.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Only your name, email, phone number, and mailing address are required to register for this event.
