YOU MAY BE PUT ON A WAITLIST<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/auburn.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_4VMEoh17h9ZqMsK\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Registration is required!<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Training Description:<\/strong>\u202fBecome a certified Volunteer Monitor through this\u00a0hybrid (online and in-person)\u00a0training opportunity! Available certifications include AWW Stream Biomonitoring. You must complete each of the steps outlined below to receive your monitoring certification.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Follow these steps to get started:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0Register for training by January 15th, 2024.<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>On January 15th<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Participate in the Kick-Off Zoom from 12-1 pm.<\/strong>\u00a0<em>This is not required for certification but will help you navigate the training process and meet AWW Staff.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the link and instructions you receive via email following the Kick-Off Zoom to enroll in the Online Courses required for the certification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><strong>By Midnight on January 25th<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Complete the self-paced, online coursework<\/strong>\u00a0for the monitoring type(s) of interest.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduction to AL Water Watch \u2013\u00a0This course is required for all monitoring types (1 hour)<\/li>\n<li>Stream Biomonitoring online content (1 hour)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><strong>On January 27th<\/strong><\/u><br \/>\n<strong>Attend the in-person Field Day in Auburn<\/strong>\u00a0where you will demonstrate your ability to conduct monitoring tests under the observation of an AWW Trainer. Participants will be expected to follow CDC guidelines regarding in-person gatherings during the training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Field Day Schedule: 1pm-4pm<\/strong><br \/>\n12:45 pm Check-In<br \/>\n1:00 pm Stream Biomonitoring Session<br \/>\n4:00 pm Adjourn<\/p>\n<p>You will receive additional details for each of these steps closer to the workshop date.<\/p>\n<p>The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Alabama A&amp;M University and Auburn University) is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
