{"id":1079,"date":"2014-10-29T15:19:06","date_gmt":"2014-10-29T15:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.auburn.edu\/aww\/?p=1079"},"modified":"2023-05-08T13:36:10","modified_gmt":"2023-05-08T13:36:10","slug":"aww-monitor-wins-gold-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aaes.auburn.edu\/wrc\/aww-monitor-wins-gold-award\/","title":{"rendered":"AWW monitor wins Gold Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>by Rita Grub<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Alabama Water Watch congratulates Katie Morris,   AWW monitor and recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award,   which represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.\u00a0 To accomplish this goal,   Katie had to design and propose a sustainable project that would benefit her community.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1088\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/aaes.auburn.edu\/wrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/10\/Katie1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1088\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1088\" alt=\"Katie conducting water chemistry monitoring at Shoal Creek\" src=\"https:\/\/aaes.auburn.edu\/wrc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2014\/10\/Katie1-300x211.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"211\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1088\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Katie conducting water chemistry monitoring at Shoal Creek<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Katie\u2019s project, <i><strong>The Quality of Water Around You<\/strong><\/i>, involved more than 80 hours of community service and outreach.
