Application requests are open for Spring 2026 and will close on January 23. July 31 is the deadline to request experiences for Fall 2026.<br \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\"><u><strong>Instructors (not GTAs or TAs) must be present<\/strong><\/u>\u00a0with their students at the experience, and\u00a0<strong>experiences are limited to 30 students<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Auburn University Water Resources Center (AUWRC) offers student experiences for Auburn University courses. The AUWRC recognizes the importance of experiential learning and is seeking to supplement traditional classroom education through outdoor experiences related to student coursework.\u00a0<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000\">Instructors can request activities and demonstrations from AUWRC&#8217;s programs that include:<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000\"><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Stream Biomonitoring<\/strong>\u00a0with Alabama Water Watch (AWW) &#8211; up to 2 hours<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Green Stormwater Infrastructure Walking Tour\u00a0<\/strong>with Alabama Watershed Stewards (AWS) &#8211; up to 1 hour <a href=\"https:\/\/storymaps.arcgis.com\/stories\/08f54c023954491aba33b0ddeb6d1640\">(view tour routs and more information here)<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Stream Restoration Tour<\/strong> with Alabama Watershed Stewards (AWS) &#8211; up to 1 hours<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">AUWRC Staff will work closely with course instructors to determine a suitable location for the experience that is reasonably close to the University. Once the application is accepted, the date and time of the experience will be discussed with the instructor.
