External Grant Mentor Program
To provide funds for an outside expert to assist in the development of a grant proposal
Any tenured or tenure-track faculty member with an AAES appointment is eligible for this program. The proposal must be an extramural proposal designated for AAES Division 3 research.

Application: Your application should include a one-page single-spaced letter indicating the need for assistance, the relevance of the expert, and the following information:
- Draft of the grant application
- Potential extramural sponsor
- Vita of the expert or a description of the expert’s research profile
- Recommended payment to the expert Submit all materials to John Liu (firstname.lastname@example.org), Associate Dean/Assistant Director, by e-mail
Applications accepted any time.
After the submission of the grant proposal, the applicant must contact the AAES Business Office for processing of the payment. The request for letter(s) of appreciation should be made to the Associate Dean/Assistant Director with names, email addresses, and mailing addresses.
A short report is required within 12 months after the submission of the proposal including a description of the experience any suggestions on the program and the including a description of the experience, any suggestions on the program, and the result of the proposal.
