Alabama Water Watch Monitoring Training – Montgomery<\/strong><\/p>\n Online registration has met maximum capacity and has closed. Please contact awwprog@auburn.edu to be put on the waitlist.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Training Description:<\/strong>\u202fBecome a certified Volunteer Monitor through this\u00a0hybrid (online and in-person)\u00a0training opportunity! Available certifications include AWW Water Chemistry Monitoring and Bacteriological Monitoring. You must complete each of the steps outlined below to receive your monitoring certification.<\/p>\n Professional Development Hours are available through PowerSchool for educators who complete training. For more information, please email awwvolunteers@auburn.edu.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Follow these steps to get started:<\/p>\n 1.\u00a0\u00a0Register for training through this form by January 23rd, 2024.<\/p>\n 2.\u00a0\u00a0Select the monitoring type(s) for which you would like certification through this form.<\/p>\n On January 23rd<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n Participate in the Kick-Off Zoom from 12-1 pm.<\/strong>\u00a0This is not required for certification but will help you navigate the training process and meet AWW Staff.<\/em><\/p>\n By Midnight on February 7th<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n Complete the self-paced, online coursework<\/strong>\u00a0for the monitoring type(s) of interest.<\/p>\n On February 9th<\/strong><\/u> Field Day Schedule: 9am-4pm<\/strong> You will receive additional details for each of these steps closer to the workshop date.<\/p>\n The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Alabama A&M University and Auburn University) is an equal opportunity educator and employer. \nAttend the in-person Field Day at Montgomery Whitewater<\/strong>\u00a0where you will demonstrate your ability to conduct monitoring tests under the observation of an AWW Trainer. Participants will be expected to follow CDC guidelines regarding in-person gatherings during the training.<\/p>\n
