Alabama Water Watch Monitoring Training<\/strong><\/p>\n THIS TRAINING HAS REACHED CAPACITY! PLEASE SEE THE EVENTS CALENDAR FOR OTHER OPPORTUNITIES.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Training Description:<\/strong>\u202fBecome a certified Volunteer Monitor through this\u00a0hybrid (online and in-person)\u00a0training opportunity! Available certifications include AWW Water Chemistry Monitoring and Bacteriological Monitoring and recertification. You must complete each of the steps outlined below to receive your monitoring certification.<\/p>\n Follow these steps to get started:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.\u00a0\u00a0Register for training through this form by October 3rd, 2023.<\/p>\n 2.\u00a0\u00a0Select the monitoring type(s) for which you would like certification through this form.<\/p>\n On October 3rd<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n Participate in the Kick-Off Zoom from 12-1 pm.<\/strong>\u00a0This is not required for certification but will help you navigate the training process and meet AWW Staff.<\/em><\/p>\n By Midnight on October 18th<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n Complete the self-paced, online coursework<\/strong>\u00a0for the monitoring type(s) of interest.<\/p>\n On October 20h<\/strong><\/u> Weeks Bay National Estuarine Reserve Field Day Schedule: 9am-3pm You will receive additional details for each of these steps once you register.<\/strong><\/p>\n Only your name, email, phone number, and mailing address are required to register for this event. We ask for optional information so we can better understand our effectiveness in serving all Alabama citizens and for reporting general, anonymous statistics to our federal and state funders. \nAttend the in-person Field Day at Weeks Bay National Estuarine Reserve in Fairhope, AL\u00a0<\/strong>where you will demonstrate your ability to conduct monitoring tests under the observation of an AWW Trainer. Participants will be expected to follow CDC guidelines regarding in-person gatherings during the training.<\/p>\n
