Formal and volunteer educators will learn how to:<br \/>\n\u2022 Teach students about the water environment, aquatic ecology, and water pollution with fun, hands-on activities<br \/>\n\u2022 Introduce students to aquatic insects of Alabama and the story they tell about water quality in our streams and rivers<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct a stream bioassessment with their students in the field<br \/>\n\u2022 Get involved with the 4-H AWW Program<br \/>\n\u2022 Access equipment needed to do stream bioassessment<\/span><\/span>The Exploring Alabama\u2019s Living Streams (EALS) curriculum is correlated to the Alabama Course of Study for 4th &#8211; 7th grade Science, high school Biology and Environmental Science courses. It is endorsed by AMSTI and correlated to Project Wet. BONUS: Curriculum packet includes a CD-ROM with images and a DVD with corresponding clips from the PBS series, Discovering Alabama. Complete the course to receive 12 CEU\u2019s from Auburn University. Pre-registration is required and participants must attend both days.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop is being coordinated in partnership with the Alabama Clean Water Partnership (Upper and Middle Tallapoosa River Basin.<\/p>\n<p>Limited to 30 educators, so register soon!<\/p>\n<p><b>When:<\/b>.
