DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! \nTraining Description: Become a certified Volunteer Monitor through this hybrid (online and in-person) training opportunity! Available certifications include AWW Bacteriological Monitoring. You must complete each of the steps outlined below to receive your monitoring certification. \nThis workshop is held in partnership with the Alabama Rivers Alliance Water Rally. Registration for this workshop does not include registration to Water Rally. Please visit alabamarivers.org for Water Rally registration details. \nYou do not have to attend Water Rally to participate in this workshop. \nFollow these steps to get started: \n1.  Register for training through this form by March 11th\, 2025. \nOn March 11th \nParticipate in the Kick-Off Zoom from 12-1 pm. This is not required for certification but will help you navigate the training process and meet AWW Staff. \n\nUse the link and instructions you receive via email following the Kick-Off Zoom to enroll in the Online Courses required for Bacteriological Monitoring.\n\nBy Midnight on March 26th \nComplete the self-paced\, online coursework for the monitoring type of interest. \n\nIntroduction to AL Water Watch – This course is required for all monitoring types and must be completed to unlock all other AWW Online Courses. (1 hour)\nBacteriological Monitoring Course (90 minutes)\n\nOn March 28th\nAttend the in-person Field Day in Fairhope\, AL where you will demonstrate your ability to conduct monitoring tests under the observation of an AWW Trainer. \nField location and schedule to be determined. \nYou will receive additional details for each of these steps closer to the workshop date. \nThe Alabama Cooperative Extension System (Alabama A&M University and Auburn University) is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
