DESCRIPTION:Alabama Water Watch Bacteriological and Water Chemistry Monitoring Training – Dale County \nTraining Description: Become a certified Volunteer Monitor through this hybrid (online and in-person) training opportunity! Available certifications include AWW Water Chemistry and Bacteriological Monitoring and recertification. You must complete each of the steps outlined below to receive your monitoring certification. \nThis workshop is sponsored by the Choctawhatchee Riverkeeper and the Dale County Extension Office. \nWhat is Water Chemistry Monitoring?  \nWhat is Bacteriological Monitoring?  \nProfessional Development Hours will be available through PowerSchool for educators who complete training. For more information\, please email awwprog@auburn.edu. \nREGISTER TODAY\nFollow these steps to get started: \n1.  Register for training through this form by May 12th\, 2025. \n2.  Complete the online courses (link will be in confirmation email). \nBy Midnight on May 15th \nComplete the self-paced\, online coursework for the monitoring type(s) of interest. \n\nIntroduction to AL Water Watch – This course is required for all monitoring types and must be completed to unlock all other AWW Online Courses. (1 hour) \nBacteriological Monitoring Course (1 hour) \n\n\nWater Chemistry Monitoring Course (2 hours)\n\nOn May 17th\nAttend the in-person Field Day where you will demonstrate your ability to conduct monitoring tests under the observation of an AWW Trainer. Participants will be expected to follow CDC guidelines regarding in-person gatherings during the training. \nVenue: To Be Determined \nField Day Schedule: To Be Determined \nYou will receive additional details for each of these steps closer to the workshop date.  \nOnly your name\, email\, phone number\, and mailing address are required to register for this event.
