DESCRIPTION:Alabama Water Watch Monitoring Training – Orange Beach \nONLINE REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED. CONTACT AWWPROG@AUBURN.EDU TO BE PLACED ON THE WAITLIST. \nTraining Description: Become a certified Volunteer Monitor through this hybrid (online and in-person) training opportunity! Available certifications include AWW Water Chemistry Monitoring and Bacteriological Monitoring and recertification. You must complete each of the steps outlined below to receive your monitoring certification. \nProfessional Development Hours are available through PowerSchool for educators who complete training. For more information\, please email awwvolunteers@auburn.edu. \nFollow these steps to get started: \n1.  Register for training through this form by April 9th\, 2024. \n2.  Select the monitoring type(s) for which you would like certification through this form. \nBy Midnight on April 25th \nComplete the self-paced\, online coursework for the monitoring type(s) of interest. Course enrollment information will be sent to registrants on April 9th.  \n\nIntroduction to AL Water Watch – This course is required for all monitoring types and must be completed to unlock all other AWW Online Courses. (1 hour)\nBacteriological Monitoring Course (90 minutes)\nWater Chemistry Monitoring Course (2 hours)\n\nOn April 27th\nAttend the in-person Field Day at City of Orange Beach Wind and Water Learning Center in Orange Beach\, AL where you will demonstrate your ability to conduct monitoring tests under the observation of an AWW Trainer.
