If you are interested in getting involved with 4-H Alabama Water Watch as a volunteer or other type of educator\, please contact us at awwprog@auburn.edu**  \n4-H AL Water Watch Bacteriological Monitoring Project Info Session for Educators  \nWant the opportunity to engage your students in citizen science?   \nThe Exploring Pathogen Pollution in Our Waters project funded through NOAA can help you do just that.  \nJoin our informational Zoom call on Thursday\, February 9 at 4pm to find out more! Register through Zoom: https://auburn.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZEld-6sqTgqG9brzNE8r8rc4_gTvgvzRHDG  \nProject Goal: To provide classroom educators with the training\, materials\, and support needed to engage students (ages 9-18) with Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences focused on understanding\, detecting\, and mitigating pathogen pollution in local waters.   \nParticipation Includes:   \n\nCompleting a 1.5 day\, paid Professional Development Workshop at the 4-H Center in Columbiana\, AL on June 6-7\, 2023 \n\n\nBacteriological monitoring with students \n\n\nCompleting a water stewardship outreach activity with students \n\nBenefits Educators will Receive:  \n\nFood\, lodging\, and Professional Development Hours for June Workshop \nWater Monitoring Materials \nSupport from 4-H AWW Staff \nStipend upon Project Completion \n\nContact us if you are interested in learning more about participation or would like to sign up to be added to our contact list.
